If you would like to find out if you are entitled to ECO funding please complete this short form. This will help us to check your eligibility before we telephone you and helping to reduce the amount of information needed over the telephone.
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a new programme designed to reduceBritain's energy consumption by funding home improvements.
The funding comes from big energy suppliers. It is delivered to customers either directly from the supplier or by organisations working together such as Green Deal Providers.
Who is eligible for ECO?
ECO is not just for people on benefits: it can apply to customers in many different situations. For example, if you live in an older house that is "hard to treat" you may be eligible for help under ECO. Your level of income has no effect on your eligibility.
It can be hard to work out if you are eligible - so we recommend that you book an energy assessment of your home. Our qualified assessor will let you know what energy-saving improvements will be of most benefit to you and whether you qualify for ECO funds. ECO does not apply to people living in social housing.
Which improvements does ECO cover?
You may get grants for all or part of the cost of loft or cavity wall insulation, boiler repairs or replacements. Your Green Deal Assessor will advise you.
The ECO initiative consists of three parts:
a. Carbon Emissions Reduction Obligation (CERO) which funds solid wall insulation and hard to treat cavity wall insulation
b. Carbon Saving Community Obligation (CSCO) which funds insulation and connections to district heating systems for low income and rural areas. Visit the postcode checker to see if you live in an eligible area.
c. Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) which funds repair and replacement of boilers and installation of insulation for to people on certain benefits, to reduce the overall cost of space heating
ECO funds are available only until March 2015, so apply now!
